Soul Origin is a well-known franchise with over 150 stores across Australia, offering fresh, fast, and affordable catering options. They are one of the few franchises to offer catering services in every state, and their expertise in this area is demonstrated by their popular catering page on their website. Soul Origin is famous for their coffee and the “OG salad,” a Chicken Schnitzel Pasta dish. In addition to these popular menu items, they also offer a variety of fresh salads and treats for catering events. The majority of customers who order Soul Origin catering do so through their website, where the catering page holds a prominent place alongside coffee and other main menu items. With their proven track record of providing high-quality catering services, Soul Origin is a reliable choice for any event.

The Problem 💭

Users find the website hard to navigate and get frustrated when viwing the product menu.

The Goal 🎯

Redesign Soul Origins catering website to be more user friendly. Keeping it simple and easy to navigate while staying on brand.

Above you will the screenshots from Soul Origins’ current catering website. Although it functions fine and does the job, it’s looking a little dated and can be streamlined and brought into 2021. A lot has to be addressed in terms of user flow and functionality; it will be a challenge as many products are available. New Product photos, product bundles, packaging and new transport methods will be underway.

I will be creating a complete redesign of Soul Origins catering pages using Adobe XD and working with developers at wordofmouth.digital. Below is the first iteration and user journey map. Road map and project details here

Service Blueprint:

User Journey:

Landing screen
Landing screen
All items screen + Item add to bag screen
All Salad range screen + add to bag screen

Wireframes are working well with only a few minor adjustments to the copy, spacing and menu items home screen. Below are the changes made.

Final Wireframes:

Final wireframes were completed and sent to the developers for final stages.

Results:

Results have been massive with a huge jump in sales in all states
